Appearance/Distinguishing marks: Brown hair, brown eyes, pale skin (a bit hard to tan when you can't go in the sunlight). Tall (6' 1") and large, muscular build. Has a tattoo on the back of his right shoulder - a Celtic style lion with wings perched on the letter 'A.'

Clothing and General Appearance: Typically impeccably neat, except for in battle aftermath. His hair is short and slightly spikey. Currently no facial hair, but has had a mustache in the distant past. His clothing style is always up to date with the times. In the last couple of years, his typical attire consists of black slacks, with a buttoned shirt or shirt and jacket. Wears a short black leather jacket or long black wool duster. Occasionally will wear a sweater instead of a buttoned shirt. Colors are nearly always dark and subdued. Boxers or briefs? Boxers. And nothing to sleep in. Without his soul, his clothing tends to be a bit more flamboyant. The obviously Angelus outfit is black leather pants with a dark red buttoned shirt.

Dialect: Well articulated, but not a big talker in general. Doesn't use much in the way of slang; cultural references have a tendency to be out of date. Irish accent has faded over the last century to a non-descript American accent.

Family Connections: Human family: Father - name unknown (d. 1753), mother - name unknown (d.1753), younger sister - Kathy (d. 1753). All were killed by him after he became a vampire.

Vampire 'family': Sire - Darla (1609 - 1997, 2000 - 2001), turned Penn (? - 2000), Drusilla (1860 - ). Human family, cont.: Son - Connor (b. Nov. 2001).

Romantic Connections: As a human, he never had a steady relationship that we saw. As a vampire, he was certainly involved with Darla: their travels from 1753 to 1898, his brief attempt to prove himself to her in 1900, and the brief 2001 fling that resulted in Connor. Also was with Drusilla for some time: don't know how much they were together when they were also traveling with Darla, but when the curse broke in 1998 they certainly fooled around a bit. The only certain romantic relationship he's had thus far with his soul was with Buffy Summers, on and off from 1997 to 1999.

Souled or evil vampire, he prefers to live well and appear human. He did spend some time shunning any and all contact after the curse, with went to the low point as a homeless man in New York City, but he's gotten over that phase. His more recent residences show the preferred trend: the mansion in Sunnydale, the Hyperion Hotel in L.A...

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Languages: English (obviously), Korean, Romanian, some Latin (at least for spell casting)
• Various knowledge of spells and rituals, types of demons, and other such knowledge as comes up in his day to day life.
• Tai Chi
• Various martial arts/fighting techniques/weapons
• Some knowledge of explosives
• Torture (mental and physical)

Pastimes: Reading is a big one. Other things we have seen Angel do in spare moments are work out - punching bag, tai chi, etc. - and sketch. And brood, if you can call that a pastime.

Talents (and lack there of): Drawing is definitely a talent of his. On the other end of things, singing and dancing are definitely not on Angel's list of things he does with any skill (or at all, given any choice). Though, he does seem to be a pretty good actor, when it is practically needed (i.e. pretending to be someone he's not).

Occupation: Currently, Angel is a private investigator of sorts for special, demon related cases. He has not had any occupation in the past that we've seen, but he's never seemed to be at a loss for money.

Vices: Liam drank excessively. We have seen Angelus smoke a cigarette, and Angel in the past and during the season two Darla debacle. On the topic of other drugs, we have seen how they should be avoided - a dose of doximal managed to bring out Angel's demon for a period of time.

Miscellaneous: Angel (or at least, Angelus) seems to have an obsession/odd thing for various things connected to religion.

Angel has serious issues with misconceptions of vampirism, almost as if it were a personal affront.
